A good friend purchased a website and domain from someone at one of the sales portals a few years ago. He moved all the files, setup the database, and started building his traffic with great posts and information. His site was at a well known and respected hosting company that supposedly was taking care of him. However, they are one of the hosting companies that oversell their servers.
Google is Stealing Your Traffic and Income
The changes that Google continuously implements are supposedly meant to help people find the things they want. It is not supposed to be a one sided equation. You as a website owner that uses Google Analytics allow them to monitor your site, pages visited, keyword traffic and more. Google in turn was supposed to use this info to help make the internet better for users. (videos below)
Don’t Build Your Website On Rented Land
Recently there has been a surge in the number of people on Yahoo Answers asking how to build a totally free website. The answers typically tell them to go with WordPress.com, Blogger, Tumblr and others.
A website as we all know is a publisher. It does not matter if it is a blog, a B&M business funnel, an ecommerce site, an affiliate site or some blend of those. It is still a publisher.
Google’s Hipocracy Continues
It seems that Google has created a new tool for you to point out the sites that are scraping your content.
Until now, Google has tried to filter scraper sites algorithmically from the search result pages. It seems that this hasn’t worked very well. Google’s Matt Cutts announced the new tool that enables webmasters to report scraper sites.
Playing With Fire!
We all know how important passwords are to protecting anything from your website to your bank account, but many people just don’t believe in using strong passwords and usernames. This is a mistake and if you are one of those people, you are “Playing With Fire”!
